When you tread into the Malaysian waters, it is very likely that you will tour the grandeur that is Langkawi. In between the intricate combination of 99 islands hides wildlife, magnificent sceneries, and deals that all of us would love to get our hands on. Be it clothes, perfumes, kitchenware, or chocolates, this archipelago has some very attractive rates to offer!

However, with tons of options and deals available, getting by can be rather puzzling. So, as a resident, I will take the courtesy of introducing you to the top 12 famous chocolate shops in Langkawi!

1. Coco Valley Sdn Bhd

Chocolate Shops in Langkawi: Coco Valley Sdn Bhd

A walk through the Aquaria Langkawi is bound to be refreshing, yet tiring. At such a time, you can always grab a halt at the Coco Valley Sdn Bhd to satisfy your sweet cravings or hunger! The humongous store houses cocoa products from Fererro Rocher, Cadbury, Whittaker, Nestle, and many more brands.

A stop at Coco Valley has always managed to clear off many items from people’s shopping lists at once. Besides internationally made chocolate, you can find other Malaysian products, cookware, and alcoholic beverages of many kinds.

As the government took the initiative to make stores in Langkawi duty-free, you will not have to spend any money for paying taxes. This means that taking a shopping spree here instead of visiting other Malaysian outlets will definitely save you a few ringgits.

2. Eastern @Cenang Duty-Free Shopping

The Eastern @Cenang Duty-Free Shopping store is a place that I can only describe as chocolate heaven on Earth! The brightly lit space houses products from nearly all chocolate brands of the world.

Inside the shop, all chocolate lovers are greeted by friendly staff members that will assist in getting all desired products. You can purchase from renowned brands like Hershey’s, Snickers, M&M’s, Nestle, and much more at some of the most affordable prices.

While shopping, you will also have a chance to get a taste of the locally made addictive chocolates and nuts. Do check them out as they can be the perfect gift for friends and families!

3. Kompleks HiG Duty Free Mall

Kompleks HiG Duty Free Mall

As all Malaysian know, Kompleks HiG is a well-known competitor of the Coco Valley when it comes to chocolates. They always offer cheaper price points while showcasing an equally large variety of options for every shopper.

Walking through an aisle of the chocolate section in Kompleks HiG will show you shelves that are towered with sweet goodies. From internationally loved chocolates like KitKat, Fererro Rocher, and Hershey’s Kisses to the locally made Beryl’s options – all will be within your reach!

If you are residing at the HiG Hotel, the mall will be an extremely helpful stop as you can shop for electronic gadgets, clothes, cooking utensils, etc. A food court and spa zone are also present for anyone seeking the services.

4. Billion Duty-Free Supermarket

Billion Duty-Free Supermarket

The Billion Duty-Free Supermarket is undoubtedly one of Langkawi’s biggest duty-free malls. Hence, it accommodates many stores and a well-made chocolate section that holds the largest chocolate collection you can hope to stumble upon.

Like the others on the list, you will be given the choice to purchase from both – international and local brands. Nonetheless, I will warn you to keep your expectations low as the mall seems to be slowly dying out since the pandemic.

Amongst the things that you can find though, are sweet items from Ritter Sport, Toblerone, Cadbury’s, etc. Each graces the shelf with extremely low price tags so I advise you to get hold of a bag and scoop in as much as you can!

In addition to this, customers can also shop for wines, alcoholic beverages, and other items at cheap rates. Branded sports stores like Nike, Puma, and Adidas stand as the mall’s biggest attractions.

5. The Zon Duty-Free Zone

The Zon Duty-Free Zone

After touring the Rice Garden museum or the beach of Pantai Cenang, you can always stroll to The Zon Duty-Free to clear chocolate shopping off your to-do list – talk about killing two birds with one stone!

From what I have seen, Zon’s chocolate section manages to be a nirvana for anyone with a sweet tooth. It holds delicious goodies from around the globe along with the best quality local chocolates. International brands like Cadbury’s, Nestle, Hershey’s, and more are endorsed along with regionally produced chocolates like the ones from Daim. Wafers and nuts also pepper the place, presenting shoppers with many gifting and eating options.

Aside from this, customers can also purchase other items like perfumes, watches, cosmetics, pots, pans, luggage, stationery items, and bags. These things sum up to make it a one-stop shopping spot for every Langkawi visitor!

Address: 970, 971, and 973, Underwater World, Jalan Pantai Cenang, 07000 Langkawi

Shop Hours: 10 am to 9 pm on all weekdays and weekends

6. Chocoffee

With piles of chocolates and different types of brewed coffee lining up on the menu, the Chocoffee is like a mini Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Unlike any other stores in Langkawi, this shop will let you taste chocolates before making a bulk purchase. This ensures an all-around satisfactory experience as you will get to pick exactly what you want!

Other than providing international and locally made chocolates, the shop also features a special section for anyone who seeks sugar-free options. This unique option makes the store more inclusive as everyone gets to enjoy the sweet delicacy!

Address: 4A and 4B Jalan Kuala Teriang, 07000 Mukim Padang Matsirat, Langkawi

Shop Hours: 10 am to 7 pm on all weekdays and weekends

7. Ole Ole Duty-Free Chocolate

While making a shopping trip to the Cenang Mall, if you need a duty-free spot to stock up on chocolates, the Ole Ole Duty-Free Chocolate store is a suitable pick. The entire store centres on confectionery-made products like wafers, cookies, chocolates, cereals, etc.

After stepping into the store, you will notice that the staff members diligently follow you around, ready to assist. They will make some of the best suggestions since they are better equipped with knowledge about everything sweet!

Some of the common items that you will find in this chocolate store include Pepero wafers, Oreos, Fererro Rocher, Malteasers, and Éclairs. However, I suggest that you pry around every corner before purchasing in order to explore all the options.

Address: 16, Jalan Pantai Chenang, Cenang Mall, Kampung Lubok Buaya, 07000 Langkawi

Shop Hours: 11 am to 8 pm on all weekdays and weekends

8. Rams Home Decor Sdn. Bhd.

Rams Home Decor Sdn Bhd
Rams Home Decor Sdn Bhd

When in Kuah, Langkawi do not forget to check out the Rams Home Décor Sdn. Bhd. Besides offering a lot of popular chocolates, you will find some unique ones that are unlikely to be present elsewhere in Langkawi.

If you are looking to purchase a huge stack of chocolate at a cheap price, this is definitely the first place that you should visit. However, as the low price is a result of the nearing end of the chocolate’s shelf life, I recommend that you check the expiration dates before munching away!

As stated by the name, the store is mostly known for its home décor. Believe me when I say that I have never walked out of the second floor empty-handed! So, while you are shopping for your treats, take a look at the pillows, curtains, bed sheets, and other décor items.

9. TS DUTY-FREE SHOP

TS-DUTY-FREE-SHOP

Looking for a place that boasts about its unbeatable chocolate collection and prices? Well, look no further as the TS Duty-Free Shop promises just that!

According to my observations, the shop can pretty much be considered a supermarket filled with only sweet items. Chocolates, cookies, wafers, and candies from brands that are situated all over the globe feature every shelf. The undoubtedly rich collection will, therefore, let you get your money’s worth.

One of the most unique products though is the exotic durian-flavoured chocolates that were specially ordered from abroad. So, if you do visit, do not forget to give this hyped chocolaty treat a try!

Address: No.JP7 & JP8, Persiaran Pelangi, Kelibang, 07000 Kuah

10. Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group Sdn. Bhd.

Perniagaan-Haji-Ismail-Group-Sdn-Bhd
Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group Sdn. Bhd.

The Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group Sdn Bhd is a small Muslim-owned store found in Kuah. As the shop is rather small, your options might be a little limited but I can assure you that you will find all of the bests!

Hershey’s, Ritter Sports, Cadbury’s, and other popular chocolate products are all put on display for you to grab. You should also stop by Beryl’s section as it has a wide variety of chocolates and nuts.

A visit to the Perniagaan Haji Ismail Group Sdn Bhd with RM.50 meant a bag full of edible goodies for me. So, gather some bucks and get ready to raid up all the chocolates that you want!

Contact No. : +604-967 2714

Address: No. 802, 803, 804, 2, Jalan Pandak Mayah, Pusat Bandar Kuah, 07000 Kuah

Shop Hours: 9 am to 9 pm on all weekdays and weekends

11. Eastern Native Duty-Free Shopping Langkawi

Eastern Native Duty-Free Shopping

As the crowded town of Kuah houses many tourists, it holds up several chocolate stores for people to scout through. The Eastern Native Duty-Free Shopping store is no exception. It stands proudly amidst the boisterous city, promising to present every type of chocolate that you could possibly like!

A walk through the stores will let your eyes meet an assortment of countless colourful wrappers and brand names like Ritter Sports, Hershey’s, Beryl’s, Ferrero Rocher, and more.

Apart from the brands, you will also be allowed to differentiate between the percentages of cocoa in your chocolate. This opens up a sea of options as you can handpick the flavour that best suits your taste buds!

Contact No. : +604-9660378

Address: 26, Jalan Pandak Mayah 6, Kuah, 07000 Langkawi

Shop Hours: 10 am to 10 pm on all weekdays and weekends

12. Warisan Duty-Free

Warisan-Duty-Free
Warisan Duty-Free

Since the Warisan Duty-Free store is near a big hotel chain, it is very likely that you will find it near your residence. So, when in a rush to purchase chocolates for gift-giving, fetch your wallet and start walking!

Like most chocolate shops in Langkawi, the store has a wide variety of chocolates to offer. Nevertheless, from my experience, the prices are a little higher than what you would find in the above-mentioned stores.

It is also very likely that you might not be able to find the chocolates or items that you are looking for. This is owing to the huge pool of customers who will quickly clear away the stocks daily.

Contact No. : +6012-4863316

Address: LOT 2599, Jalan Pantai Chenang, Pantai Cenang, 07000 Langkawi

Shop Hours: 1 pm to 11 pm on all weekdays and weekends

In the midst of all the adventures that Langkawi has to offer, do not forget to weave in some time for shopping in these stores. A walk through them will bring along astonishing seasonal discounts and tons of other tempting offers that you simply cannot turn a blind eye to. You will be easily able to pack up some of the finest memoirs and treats for your friends and families – all at the most affordable and duty-free prices!
