Kota Lukut or Lukut Fort and Museum is one of the historical recreational sites in Negeri Sembilan. It is located 6 kilometres from Port Dickson and is highly admirable for its historical importance. The museum showcases the glorious history of Lukut through its ancient artefacts and monuments.

The fort was built by Raja Jumaat in 1847 but didn’t sustain for long. Again, the building was reconstructed in 1997 and officially launched in 1999.

It’s a pineapple plantation that houses more than sixty thousand pineapple trees, where you can gain a better understanding of the cycle of planting and harvesting. How to Get There

Car

Most people prefer to travel by car. It’s convenient and comfortable. And if travelled without any rest stops, you can reach Port Dickson in an hour. The quickest route is the North-South Expressway, as there’s a direct exit to Port Dickson. Tolling stations charge around RM13.50 for the journey from Kuala Lumpur to Port Dickson, depending on the vehicle type and departure point. 

Train

Going to Port Dickson via train is totally affordable. It costs RM8.70 and RM7.40 by Touch n Go prepaid card for the journey. There’s a KTM Komuter train station in Seremban, which carries passengers to and from KL Sentral on a daily basis. After you get off at Seremban, you can take a taxi to Port Dickson. Bus

Buses are one of the most preferred public transports. Many people rely on it due to its low cost. Usually, the prices are RM4.00 and above. if you’re looking to introduce your taste palate to something different, you can go to La Playa Bar and Restaurant. It may be a pub but serves Italian, Fusion, and Malaysian. But the con side is that all its foods are not halal.

Double Queue Thai Cuisine

Many regular Port Dickson visitors prefer to eat at Double Queue Thai Cuisine as it has halal food and is voted as one of the best restaurants in Port Dickson. With fresh seafood, they serve their signature dishes, including Tom Yum Soup and Pineapple Fried Rice which you must try when you’re in this Thai culinary heaven.
