Jollibee Malaysia: All You Need to Know About the New Outlet of Jollibee in West Malaysia

WHAT IS COVERED IN THIS ARTICLE?

  • About Jollibee Group
  • Why is Jollibee famous?
  • Jollibee Sunway Pyramid Outlet
  • Jollibee Malaysia Menu
  • Is Jollibee halal?

After a long wait of one year, the new outlet of Jollibee Malaysia opened in Sunway Pyramid. It’s not the first outlet of Jollibee in Malaysia; instead, it is the second one after the one at Sabah. It is indeed a piece of great news for the West Malaysians as they don’t need to fly all the way to Sabah to try out the lip-smacking food of Jollibee Malaysia.

The new outlet of Jollibee is in Sunway Pyramid,  LG2-126A, Blue Atrium, and it remains open every day from 10:00 am-10:00 pm. The outlet opened around a week ago, and it is getting great customer response and reviews. If you have no idea about Jollibee Malaysia and the hype that it is getting right now, let me explain it to you in detail.

About Jollibee Group

Jollibee is the flagship Filipino fast-food franchise of the Jollibee group. Jollibee Group is the fastest-growing Filipino restaurant chain that operates in 34 countries, with over 5,800 stores. There are several outlets of Jollibee in the USA, Canada, Philippines, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, the People’s Republic of China, Italy, Brunei, Spain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Panama, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and India.

The six franchise brands Burger King, Panda Express, PHO24, and Yoshinoya in the Philippines, Dunkin’ Donuts and Tim Ho Wan in certain territories in China belong to the Jollibee group. It also has eight fully-owned food brands like Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, and Smashburger.

Jollibee started its journey in Malaysia by launching its first outlet in Sabah back in 2018. To be specific, the first outlet of Jollibee Malaysia is in Lorong Centre Point, Pusat Bandar Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. With a vision to become one of the top five restaurant companies in the world, the CEO of the Jollibee group decided to open another Jollibee Malaysia outlet. And that’s how the new Sunway Pyramid outlet of Jollibee Malaysia came into being.

Why is Jollibee famous?

You might already be very curious to know why this Filipino franchise is so famous. Opening outlets in 34 countries is not a joke after all! Jollibee is said to champion the Filipino taste and is specifically famous for its Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti. I will talk more about the menu of Jollibee Malaysia below.

The new outlet of Jollibee Malaysia is not that big, which might be a bit disappointing to many of you. But there are options for takeaway, so no worries! But if you have no problem with the small seating area, let me tell you that it is a beautiful outlet with a bit of vintage vibe and orange and white coloured surroundings. However, it’s not entirely vintage as it has a couple of modern self-service ordering kiosks.

Jollibee Malaysia serves sausage, burgers, nuggets, Jolly Spaghetti, fries, drinks and Chickenjoy. They have two types of Chickenjoy- one is regular, and the other one is spicy. You can order a set of Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti.

There are three such sets priced between RM 13.99 to RM 24.99. Other than Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti, you will get rice, coleslaw, gravy, and drinks in the first set. The second and third sets include mashed potato, coleslaw, bun, gravy and drinks.

Jolly Spaghetti is a Filipino sweet style spaghetti, so it might be unlikable to you if you don’t have a sweet tooth. In that case, you can order a set of Chickenjoy out of the three. The sets will contain the other items that I’ve previously mentioned (minus the Jolly Spaghetti), and the price will lie somewhere between RM 10.50 to RM 19.50.

Chickenjoy buckets are also available on the menu. As for desserts, Jollibee Malaysia has Sundae and Vanilla Twirl pricing RM 4.50 and RM 1.50, respectively. For drinks, you can order soft drinks, orange juice, or their special pineapple juice.

Is Jollibee halal?

Is Jollibee Malaysia halal

This is the question that might be lurking in the back of all of your heads right from the moment you started reading this article. And the answer is, yes, Jollibee Malaysia is officially Halal-certified. It is definitely a piece of excellent news for all my Muslim brothers and sisters waiting to try the foods of Jollibee Malaysia.

After a rigorous accreditation process of six months, Jollibee Malaysia earned the official halal certification from the Islamic Development Department (Jakim). Due to this certification, it is hoped that the restaurant will significantly expand its reach in Malaysia.

Now that you have already reached the end of this article, let me give you another exciting piece of news, and that is the Jollibee group has plans to launch around 100 more outlets in West Malaysia in 2022. But before those 100 outlets are launched, don’t forget to leave a visit to the Jollibee Malaysia outlet in Sunway Pyramid.

Also, don’t forget to let me know about your experience visiting Jollibee Malaysia. I will be waiting for your comments!
