Hulu Langat is a town located in the Hulu Langat district in the interior of Selangor, Malaysia.

The settlement of Hulu Langat occurred in 1874. At that time, it was a village. In the year 1920, the idea of mukim (small administrative sub-division) was introduced. Since then, Hulu Langat has been termed a mukim, not a village. Some say that the people of Hulu Langat are of Sumatran origin.

However, it is widely believed that the original inhabitants were predominantly the Minangkabau Malays and other ethnic groups from Java, Mendaling and the Kerinchis from Jambi. The township is mostly famous for its durians and natural settings.

Fearing that he would have bad luck due to trespassing on people’s graves, he quickly left the place and moved down the hill.
